CERTIFIED MUNICIPAL COURT LAW ATTORNEY

As of 2015, fewer than 30 attorneys out of New Jersey's 93,000 have this distinction

Choosing an attorney can be difficult and time-consuming. How do you know who would be best for you if your case appears before the New Jersey Municipal Court?

Fortunately, the Supreme Court of New Jersey has granted a designation called Municipal Court Law Attorney to those who are able to demonstrate sufficient levels of experience, education, skills, and knowledge in their municipal court practice. A New Jersey attorney with this designation must be:

In good standing of the New Jersey Bar for over 5 years;
• In compliance with continuing legal education requirements;
• Able to demonstrate a substantial level of experience in the practice of municipal court law;
• Favorably evaluated by other attorneys and judges familiar with the quality of his/her work; and
• Able to pass a written examination demonstrating expertise in municipal court law.
